Free Guides - Offering cost-free guide including your affiliate link id is another form of straight linking, but it can be extremely effective because it lets the customer to get to know you before they click on a link, thus giving you a chance to build your trustworthiness in a more close-up and personal way as an expert on your topic before they make a purchase.

Recently I wrote a post complaining that tweetspinner was instituting stricter limitations on free users. While I did stand by this complaint, I also really liked tweetspinner and wanted to use it. So this was a problem that could only be solved by signing up for their pro account upgrade!
I know, I know. But let me tell you some very cool aspects of what it actually provides for you. It gives you the ability to add up to 50 keywords, 5 twitter accounts, and it allows you to automatically follow people with your keywords on a specific schedule like once every 3 hours. Well, I’m finally getting back into blogging after a long hiatus. I have basically two blogs, this one which is strictly about Internet Marketing, and another one at: www.alanayazyam.com (no dash) where I talk about my creative endeavors and do longer more detailed reviews of internet marketing products sometimes.
One of the things I like to do a lot is to not only be a marketer but to play the role of a consumer as well. So I do reviews of different products and what I like or don’t like about them. This helps people make an informed decision and the people who put out the products like it because I generally only talk about products I like so if people dig the review they can go and purchase the ebook or whatever.
Anyway, what I want to do for my list and anybody else who is interested is throw out the blueprint of what I’m going to do in 2010. Although I’ve had some success online, I’m going to pretend that I am starting absolutely from ground zero. And I’m going to through out the plan that I have set-up for myself. And I hope by the end of the year to reach the goal of 40-50,000 dollars of almost effortless recurring income. And then an increase in that as time goes on.
Anybody who is listening and hasn’t even made a single dollar online, I feel your pain. I too am struggling to make money online. But I believe with this plan I may have finally cracked the code to make recurring income for myself. It can be tempting in the online world to pretend that you are more successful than you are, but I’m not going to do that. I admit that I am not completely satisfied with the amount of money I have made so far online. But I hope that 2010 will be a very life-changing year and I think it will be.
So anyway, I am going to get started writing out the plan that I’m going to use to rock 2010 as far as internet marketing goes, and then I’ll give it to my list. Know that I’ll be following the exact steps that I tell you to do as I do them and we can all together reach our goals at the end of this year and compare notes.

More or less every internet marketer has been in the position where they’ve had a website that wasn’t performing as well as they hoped, and needed improvement. Here is a list of five simple things that you can do to improve traffic and interest in your site:
1. Make it more relevant-Perhaps you’ve been in the position where you have great content and you think, “Geez, why isn’t anyone interested in this?” Well the chances are that there are people interested in it, but they don’t know about it. And more than this, they don’t know what it has to do with them. They don’t see the connection between what you’re doing and the problems or interests they have. It’s very important to bridge this gap between you and your audience. You can do this simply by finding out what people in that market want, what questions they are asking, if it is a problem-based niche, or what importance factors are involved if it is a hobby-based niche. Once you figure this out, you can start using the appropriate keywords and writing blog posts that are more suited to the needs of the people you are actually writing the blog for, your readers!
2. Add media-A dusty old PLR ebook is not going to impress anyone, or at least not the average person. But a PLR ebook that has video explanations, expert commentaries, interviews, case studies…now we’re talking! Just because your content isn’t enough on its own, doesn’t mean it can’t be mixed with the proper elements to make it really good and to get the important point across that you are trying to get across. That’s why knowing how to use PLR and Public Domain Products is HIGHLY lucrative and important. If you’re missing out on that, you’re missing out on quite a lot of products, history, and markets that are already established as having long-term customers.
3. Add graphics-Go ahead! It’s only going to cost you 70 or 80 dollars and it will impress people. We all know it’s what’s inside that counts right? But as Michael Cheney said, you’ve got to give people chocolate covered vegetables! That is, give them what they want AND what they need. Not just one or the other. We all love visually appealing things! It’s in our nature as creative, sensitive, creatures; i.e. human beings. Any non-humans in the house? Yeah…I didn’t think so…;)
4. Make the path EASY!-Don’t complicate things! Make the path from A to B easy. If your site is about knitting, you want to provide the quickest and best path for people to go from being a novice knitter to being in forums, reading ebooks, watching videos, and whatever else their heart desires in relation to knitting. If you don’t commit to a path, how can you expect your customer to? In other words, if you don’t know what the path is you have set up for your customer to go from being a vistor to handing you money, then you can’t expect them to figure it out on their own. Therefore, clearly think about how you want to guide them by the hand to give them exactly what they want, what they need, and you will turn them into a customer naturally.
5. Links, links, links-Get links to and from your site to other sites. Be aggressively seeking out other people in that niche to get into contact with and create networks. Build a community. A community of people who all want information about the niche you are trying to sell. And most of all, don’t be afraid to specialize! Get specific, and seek out other people who are interested in your sub-niches, very specific niches, and you can’t fail.

TweetSpinner C%#@ Block, And Others…
February 14th, 2010TweetSpinner has now put limitations on its free users, making the free version completely useless by limiting you to TWO (yes that’s that’s one more than one) actions every 24 hours. This basically forces you to subscribe to their 14+ dollars a month payment plan. Worth it? Mergh…maybe right now because they are the only ones doing it. But in a little while there will probably be other sites that offer their same services for free, thus making it pointless to use Tweetspinner. Will I subscribe? Frankly, no, not right now. But it’s a shame because I was using their product a lot and really liking it. I just feel a bit manipulated by them who would put limitations on their users when they themselves aren’t even that old of a service. But hey, it’s a business I guess…
Meanwhile sites like Squidoo are still 100% free and will pay you for content. I’ve been using Squidoo a lot and have come across some killer traffic generation secrets that I will be sharing with members of my list very soon. Check out tweetspinner and see if you think their service is worth the money. Personally I don’t, but maybe they will change my mind.
